Background:
Alison is a psychologist and current Masters of Clinical
Psychology/PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. Alison has
over five years of experience working in psycho-oncology research
with both the Behavioural Sciences Unit at Sydney Children's
Hospital and the Centre for Medical Psychology and Evidence-based
Decision-making (CeMPED).
Research Interests:
Her clinical and research work has focused on supporting
patients and their families in both adult and paediatric oncology.
Alison's PhD research focuses on family communication, information
needs, and genetic-related health professional's clinical practices
working with families with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 pathogenic variant.
