The Australasian Society for Immunology, Immune Therapies Node and Charles Perkin Centre at the University of Sydney

In preparation for the International Day of Immunology on 29th April, the Australasian Society for Immunology in partnership with the Immune Therapies Node, Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney are presenting a captivating public forum which will explore the wonders of the immune system and how we can harness its power with immunotherapies to combat cancer.


Guest speakers include:

Dr Joanne Reed will introduce the audience to the immune system and simply explain its clinical utility. Yes, it is complicated, but undoubtedly worth it!


Professor Ian Chubb, AC will share his story, speaking on behalf of patients who have been treated by state-of-the-art therapy. He is a passionate advocate for increased investment in science. 


Associate Professor Alexander Menzies will speak from his perspective as an oncologist, and talk about advancements in immunotherapy, specifically for patients with melanoma.


The evening will close with a Q&A session.
