Donya Tohidi-Esfahani is a 3rd year anatomical pathology registrar. She is currently completing the Melanoma Pathology Registrar Specialist Training Position at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), Department of Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology, which is supported by Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA). She has a keen interest in translational medicine, which is central to the practice at MIA and RPAH Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology.

In addition to training in Molecular Pathology at RPAH, Donya has a strong background in basic science research. Prior to medicine, she completed a PhD in Science at CSIRO, and postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Sydney and the John Curtin School of Medical Research at ANU.

Donya is keen to put her background knowledge in molecular biology and biotechnology to practice in medicine in order to improve pathological diagnosis and treatment.
