During our first Education Dinner held in August, we were privileged to meet a dedicated member of the community who runs a prostate cancer support group. John Fullagar generously dedicates his time in retirement to reaching out and supporting those affected by this cruel cancer. We encourage you to read about John's amazing work. 


"The nature of North Shore Prostate Cancer Support Group (NSPCSG) and its activities is the evolving outcome of two principal factors: its purpose and its resources. The Group seeks to help people impacted by prostate cancer, which includes any men who have contracted the disease - but also their wives/partners, family, friends and carers. The Group is also responsible for its own resources - for funding, procuring, caring for them  -  and for replacing them when necessary. As for most volunteer-based not-for-profit organisations, a small committed team does the organising and many of them make their personal resources available (as well as huge quantities of time) to sustain the Group."
